Summary Meaning
“May the Goddess of Speech accept this oblation. The Eye is the light of the gods, embedded in immortality. It is established in manifold ways for the sake of true knowledge. May we attain its grace.
May clear sight never abandon us, and may our lifespan be prolonged. May we, fully alive and endowed with vision, enjoy the light—both the heavenly light and the light of immortality.
Through the ear, people hear what is auspicious and true. Through the ear, they hear speech uttered in many forms; through the ear, both joy and greatness are heard. Through the ear, I hear from all directions. By it, they hear from the east, the south, the west, and the north. That power of hearing, extending in so many ways, encompasses everything completely, just as the rim of a wheel fully encompasses its spokes.”
